snow
now darling boy...do not be worrying about snow or announcing it to canucks with 10 foot records.....
just kidding.....that sounds cold....
Otello on Saturday....such a tragic story....why did he have to be such a goof-ball and fall for Iago's story?
hoping your snifflies are all gone pepe
hugs...mags0 -
Pumpkins
Still carving out pumpkins and baking the seeds - yummy. Heck those pumpkins are a lot of work. Have 7 of them to carve but just might only do 4. It was almost 80 today and tomorrow its only to get in the high 40s so we definitely are moving into the cold weather. Not looking forward to the snow but if you do get some, make a snow angel Enjoy the movies and dinner.
Hugs! Kim0 -

I don't have to work. I told
I don't have to work. I told my boss the next time they schedule me for a Saturday, I am converting to a Seventh Day Adventist, but I can be Christian the rest of te week. I am reading that book about India by Katherine Boo. It is boringggggg, but I promised my mom I would read it for us to discuss. I liked the book about the women seeking revenge of their abusive husbands the most.
I need to try to relax, because everyone around me is getting sick and I am under stress! So that is what I will do.

Snow?
Sounds like you are going to need your coat and gloves just to get that bit of sun! Since you are just getting over the flu, don't take a chill.
Saturday is my father's 87th birthday. The whole family will be celebrating it on Sunday. Why the delay you might ask...my mother who will soon be 88 has a commitment to the National Council for Girl Scouts...lol. We are so very fortunate they are both in very good health for their ages.
Wishing everyone here a very good weekend.
Hugs,

First weekend home
I will be simply luxuriating in my first weekend home in five weeks. Kids off for a week as is half term from this weekend so will enjoy some time with them intermingled in with some time hiding away from them for some rest. Still finding each day includes several challenges to find my way through as well as ups and down in energy and mood but overall transition home gone well.
So my weekend is a quiet one continuing my assimilation back into the world on one leg. May take my first trip out in the car to set myself a challenge as sitting is getting less painful.

I'm preparing for the "Storm
I'm preparing for the "Storm of the Century" before it hits on Monday. I need to get more batteries and flashlights, and maybe even a generator since the lights are sure to go out. Last Halloween we had a couple of feet of snow fall, but this year's storm will bring high winds and rain. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my pines won't fall on the house.
Have a nice weekend everyone!
Take care,

Don't have them yet. Probably going for a 24 pounder but they aren't on sale yet (too early). I'll sure let you know when we do though

Corpus Christi
Sitting in Rv on the old Chase Naval Airbase watching the Texas Mile Race. Cold and Very windy. Watching our son Jason race his Cadillac CTS-V. This is a first for us! Hope everyone has a great weekend!0 -
Back on the ice!
Curling season has started up again. Played my first game last night (well, most of my first game; being post-op I wasn't up for the full 2 hours.) Tonight, I'll be back on the ice again, and hope to be able to last the whole game. (With 4 people on a team, if one has to drop out partway through, it doesn't mean forfeit - the team continues as a 3-person team.)
Then, yes, preparing for the "storm of the century" - I'm not coastal, but we were smashed by Hurricane Irene last year, and this one looks to be even bigger.0 -

Well, son and his girlfriend went to a dog rescue...came home with a "pup" .....he's so huuugggeee, he's tall enough he can plant his face on the stove while I'm cooking!!! I think I'm gonna get a pony saddle, I figure I can make a few bucks off the neighborhood kids giving pony rides!!! Kids want to go out tonight so we're puppy sitting.0 -
