Oh, no! I haven't been onSunrae said:I read Nancy's obit in
I read Nancy's obit in another post and was so saddened and shocked. She always had an encouraging word to everyone and I looked forward to her posts. I blame cancer for taking her life even tho she died from pneumonia. Cancer and all that goes with it takes so much from us we don't have a whole lot to fight with when we get some other illness. Nancy was a beautiful sweet woman and so inspiring. May her husband and family be comforted during this sad time. We will miss her.
Oh, no! I haven't been on for a few days and I am just stunned and heartbroken. She was so pleased that her chemo had worked so well and that she was feeling better. She was so welcoming to me--and everyone--and shared so much of her experience, knowledge, and optimism. Please let her family know how well-loved she was and how much she will be missed.

Saddened to the core!
Can't even think of what to type right now:-(. If Nancy's family reads any of this I want them to know how special she was to many on here. We joined around the same time (I think :-|, darn chemo brain,I know "Laurissa" and I did and pretty sure Dear Nancy as well" regardless, she was always so wonderful to me and always quick to lend her experience, strength, and hope to anyone that joined. She and I shared the same type of beast, triple negative, and I can't count the times she gave me excellent advice or sent me in the right direction to find it if she didn't know. Nancy is a BEAUTIFUL Kindred Spirit who will be missed by many, but I also know in my heart that she's right where she needs to be, free of pain, free of the beast we all battle daily. Even in remission (Our Kindred Survivors) I don't think you're ever free of the beast, it always lies in the back of our minds. Then there's the selfless ones like Nancy who stay on here for people like me who still needs them, and my selfish side wants her here with us, I have more in common with my current scan and brain met, and wanted to lean on her as well as many others on here, but Nancy for her strength. My selfless side is here for anyone and so sorry we all mourn another loss and so sorry I just now learned of this cuz I'm not being a very good kindred :-(. I'm babbling because I'm still a little shocked. My love, prayers, and hugs to all who were privileged enough to know her, whether family, friend or online like myself. I think, it sure would have been great to meet her, then I think, duh, I will......someday
So Sad,

The Oak Tree
A mighty wind blew day and night.
It stole the Oak tree's leaves away
Then snapped its boughs and pulled it's bark
Until the Oak was tired and stark
But still the Oak tree held its ground
While other trees fell all around
The weary wind gave up and spoke
"How can you be still be standing Oak?
The Oak tree said "I know that you can
break each branch of mine in two
carry every leaf away
Shake my limbs and make me sway.
But I have roots stretched in the earth
Growing stronger since my birth
You'll never touch them, for you see
They are the deepest part of me.
UNTIL TODAY, I wasn't sure of just how much I could endure
But now I've found with thanks to you
I AM STRONGER THAN I EVER KNEW...........0 -

Dear Kari,
This is a powerful poem and it brought a tear to my eye. May you read this poem daily while you are plotting your plan of action to rid the cancer within your body. May the poem give you strength to fight those ugly cells.
Lots of Hugs,

I'm so sad about this loss. She was indeed a cheerleader and a special lady. May she finally rest in peace. (((Hugs)))0
