Breast Cancer Walk *Pictures are Up*
ENJOY!
=========================================================================================
Thank you so much for your kind words. I actually did break down and cry while at the Survivors tent. I just got so overwhelmed with all of it. There was a kind woman handing out sashes and shirts and she knew I was going to lose it. She came around the table to hug me and offered her ear and shoulder to me. She told me she was a 12 year survivor and really understood how emotional it is for a NEW survivor like me. She also offered to have someone call me who could talk to me and offer more support. I declined but did ask for the name of the association she was talking about. Of course, American Cancer Society. I thanked her and started toward the crowd to start walking. The rest of the day was wonderful. So many sisters...so many caregivers...so many friends and family walking in solidarity for this cause. I am still blown away by this whole thing.
I know my contribution was small, but my heart was BIG with caring and sharing.
God Bless us ALL!

Mary,
Congratulations on your walk. You always continue to amaze me with all you have going on. I did a local walk back after my first bout and I too was amazed at all the people who came out. Its really nice to see all the support.
Terry
I also walked my first walk Saturday. It was amazing to say the least! It was my first - but not my last!

I'm afraid I'm going to get so emotional. I cried just reading about going to the survivors booth for a tee-shirt.

I have tears -- just thinking about you, your walk surrounded by all those Survivors,
or loved ones who have lost someone to breast cancer.
So many of us, so surreal.
Strength, Courage and HOPE for a Cure.

Seeing the tent labeled SURVIVORS was nothing short of breath taking. So many women who are here because they fought like a girl! I met many who were there to show support because they lost a loved one. My heart broke seeing children there. Just knowing they lost a mommy made my heart break. But I smiled seeing them there. The strength to be there and show support for someone who was there is spirit only. OMG ... I am starting to cry.
Wish we all could do this together ... Maybe one day .....

I cried. My husband didn't understand. But that's OK. He was there beside me showing his support for the one he loves. ME!!! tHE SURVIVORS tent was the hardest part. Can you believe that? I got so emotional. But once I hit the boardwalk, I was smiling and enjoying the world. Just for that moment. It was something really special. H
Enjoy your day. I KNOW you will

Love the pics and love you! When I went to my first one, I thought my hubby was going to have to carry me because I got so emotional. He grabbed me ( hard ) by the arm, my friends and family surrounded me and they all almost carried me for the survivor's walk. I was crying the whole time as I was overwhelmed with emotion and love for all of the support I got. I am sooooooo glad you went Mary!
