Mamolady or anyone, if the machine freezes while you're getting your mammo....
I know I heard about it or read it on here before.
Thanks!

There is? Is it where we can reach it?

I had a person in charge of the machine tell me once
that her co-worker deliberately squished the women and enjoyed causing them pain. This has never been forgotten. It was at Kaiser, and they are the ones that didn't catch the lump in my breast the year before...welcome BC. There is a place in the afterlife for people like that.

manual knob
There is a manual knob with in reach of the patient. If a patient expresses concern about the power going out or what ever, I show them the knob. I had one patient that was worried I would faint and she would be stuck there! I assured her I stayed hydrated and that I really didn't have a problem with fainting. I also showed her the manual release! We also have a flashlight in the room in case the power goes out. That is back where the controls are.

I heard about it Suzanne and that's why I asked, as, I thought mamolady would be able to help us out, and, she did! I wanted to know how to get myself out if something happens.0 -

There was a joke, it was posted at one of the places I worked, about a woman that got stuck in the unit during a power outage. The tech left, the electricians came in and out and on and on. If I can find it I will post it.
We had a very old machine till 2011 and occasionally it would have issues. It never locked on a patient. I did have to ask a patient to step out while I rebooted the machine but that was the worst that happened.
Hopefully there are no real stories like that!
