Also may help people with kidney stones
There is also an article suggesting green tea may help prevent the formation of kidney stones:

Next time I am in the hospital I will ask for an IV of green tea!!!

Been drinking a lot of green
Been drinking a lot of green tea (in lieu of beer/soda) for over 6 months since I started my weight loss program.

Hope it does, but don't know if it has had any health benefits or not, other than contributing to my weight loss because it has zero calories.

    Green Tea
Thanks for the article. Looks like the science behind the use of green tea is catching up. I went back to my 1998 Mike Milken cookbook to see what he said about green tea; "Green Tea: Serve green tea hot at the end of a meal, Japanese style. Ot try it iced, flavored with mint or lemon zest. Drink 3 to 10 cups a day, because it contains valuable antioxidants."

I've been drinking the stuff for about 4 years based on the Milken cookbook ... and because I developed a taste for it ... especially the Celestial Seasoning Green Tea with blueberry. Now Celestial Seasoning has stopped making it! Fearing withdrawal, I've hoarded a supply, and am actively researching an alternate. You'll probably note a decline in CS fourth quarter sales, as I make the switch.

    Green Tea
The internet has a lot of information on this, this is a very powerfull anti oxident. I was diagnosed in Jan of 2011 with PCa. At that point in time I gave up soda and all of the other bad foods. I started a very intense diet modification centered around cancer fighting foods and drink. SO far so good, I donot miss the standard diet of fast and junk foods.

The more research that I do on PCa the more I find that diet plays a big role in this.

If any body is looking for the herbs, spices, teas. I use a site called MOUNTAIN ROSE HERBS. They have a very complete listing along with a description.

I do feel that a full circle approach is needed when fighting this monster.

I just had a VA doctor visit the other day along with lab tests, very complete, the only item that I was on the low side is Vitamin B, every thing else came back within mid range. SO the diet appears to be working.

    Cold Steeping
For added benefit try cold steeping green tea. Take a water filled glass jar, add the appropriate number of teabags, and put in in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight. This method produces added health benefits. I generally add a little fruit juice, pomegranate or other, to a glass before filling it with the cold steeped tea. It makes a refreshing and convenient drink. Find info about this method and other green tea facts at:

    For whatever its worth, I
cut up some slices of ginger, and also add turmeric and cinnamon to my tea.

    What a cocktail !!!!!!
    Hopeful

Wouldn't be a “martini with an olive on top” or a simpler “bloody-mary” tastier?

    A little Grey Goose
added to this cocktail shouldn't hurt too much. Always in moderation.
