Another CT with contrast on Friday

I saw my Oncologist today. She did not like the sound of my lungs (I have had a horrible cough since August but so do a lot of people).

She wants to take a closer look at the lymph node in the lung. I don't know anything about my anatomy but I guess there are lymph nodes in the lung.

Anyway, my colonoscopy was great. I thought I was done with tests, which have been going on for a month one after another.

Everyone please say a little prayer. This cough is different than any asthma, bronchitis or cold cough I have had. It feels to stretch from the back of the throat right down to the bottom of my lungs. I am on my second Z pack and taking QVar 85 2 2x. No prednisone because I get thrush. The xray was okay and I just had a CT with contrast but the doctor says this one will just be of the lung area.

I am definitely depressed because I have not felt well enough to return to my main job and my second job which requires me to sing is not going well since I have almost no singing voice for the first time in my life. I resigned but then took my resignation back on Sunday. The music director told me everything is okay and to be patient. I have to be at the cancer center Friday at 3:30 with the scan at 4:00 Eastern Standard.

    i am very new to all of this so I am not sure as to a lot of the medical terminology. I do know one thing though, we are blessed that if this was to happen to us it was not 20 years ago when treatment like we have now did not exist.

    Please know that I am flooding heaven with prayers for you that your CT tomorrow will bring you all good news. There are lots of reasons for a nagging cough. May yours be related to something non-sinister and easily treated.

    I'm glad your colonoscopy gave you all good results.

    May you feel better soon and be back to singing, which I know you so enjoy. I wish we could all be together to hear you sing! Please let us know what you find out.

    i got call today,
    had to stop on my way home from work to pick up liquid stuff, 2 big bottles that i have to drink in 1 hr UGH sure hope it is better than the crap I had to drink to draino myself before surgery 2 weeks ago,

    I will have CT scan tomorrow also at 9:45am I will be thinking and praying for you and me when i am there--I dont't know what a CT is but I know we will both be OK

    They said the results should be ready on Tuesday. The scan was easy. Much easier than the last ones where they scanned the entire pelvis. I feel better, but the antibiotics did not wipe out the inflammation completely again. I am not in good shape for enduring the entire fall as when they take out the leaf blowers, etc I get ill in a good year, which I don't remember having in a while. I need to go to the shore for a while. Also need to win the lottery:-) I don't know whether or not to get the flu and pneumonia shots while sick. It seems you have to ask these questions. Doctors are afraid to recommend or not recommend anything it seems these days.

    no results yet--seeing RAD on Mon afternoon--Hope he has result
    I guess when they do these tests we have to wait for results--even at this early stage in my diagnosis I am learning that this is a hurry up and wait kinda thing and I refuse to HURRY my life away --Dear Lord PLEASE give me patience--I am going to have to update some of my personality traits if i am going to get through this!!!!!
