    Hi John
    I'm more of a lurker than a poster these days. At the moment doing well, did have a bone met which was sorted out by radiation treatment recently but it did cause some bad post radiation effects on my lungs. CEA has now spiked to 604 so back onto Avastin/Xeloda treatment to combat progression of lung/liver tumours. Having minor discomfort from the lungs. Just taking one day at a time and enjoying life everyday, still doing odd jobs around the gardens which I enjoy immensely. Looking forward to having christmas with the family. Best wishes.

    Andrew, good to hear from you. Hopefully the chemo slows/reverses that CEA rise. The Avastin treats VEGF-A, also correlated with the common CA19-9 biomarker in tumor tissue.

    The other major marker noted by Life Extension is COX2. Although we use a lot of natural COX2 inhibitors per the LEF protocols, I've noticed that Celebrex, the other COX2 inhibitor recommended by LEF ca 400-800 mg with active CRC, is being discussed more and more by the mainstream doctors and on the CRC boards. Some of John's Chinese herbs likely include COX2 inhibitors too.
