Lovely Day
Yesterday the weather was perfect; sunny and a moderate temperature. We checked out all the vendors lined up along the main street. She was looking forward to a piece of pumpkin pie but as a "dedicated" weight watcher, I wanted to spend my points on a nice lunch. When she decided she wasn't going to have the pie because she didn't want to eat a whole piece, I said okay I'll share it with you. I mean, what are friends for?
We had a delicious lunch and then walked around. We chatted with some guys who were crabbing. One guy showed me a small crab. I asked if that one had to be thrown back and he said yes. Then he said, it's a male and I said, throw it back!
I love Half Moon Bay and had planned to spend a few days there on my own. I have never done anything like that. It's kind of a bucket list thing. I was checking out accomodations and trying to work up the nerve when I had my recurrance. That isn't what is stopping me though, because I feel fine.

I was not there with you girls, but it is feels so good, just to read about this. Friendsheep, shering, beeng out together and more... Happy for you!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful day with us. I agree with Zinaida that it feels good for me to read about your good day. Two years ago this past Thursday (October 11) I was having my surgery to remove the baseball-size tumor, total hysterectomy and removal of a foot of my lower bowel. On my two-year "anniversary" this week, I was speaking before 200 people at a conference for work. Not half as fun as your lovely trip to Half Moon Bay but I would say that we've both come a long way in two years!

she is one of the friends. She expressed to me the other day that she is a bit apprehensive about the 5k part. I told her it equals approximately 3 miles. I said I know I can do 2 which is what my weekly hike amounts to. I said we can take our time and just have fun. I mostly want to have some crazy fun.

You can walk the whole thing. If I can do it with no problem 2 mos and 2 weeks out of treatment she can... Have a blast. It is the whole point - to bring people together to have fun for a good cause.0 -
