I was diagnosed with TCC of
I was diagnosed with TCC of the renal pelvis in July 27th and I had a radical nephrectomy on August 10. Mine had not metastasized and I did not have chemo or radiation. The surgery was 8 hours and robotic. I feel better everyday day. My doctor believes they caught it early but just the word cancer creates worry. I will be tested every 3 months for reoccurance.0 -

Kane, Thanks for your response. So glad for you that they caught it early. It is difficult to find anyone with this type of cancer in the kidney. I wish you the best!0 -

Sorry to hear about your father and hope he does well with the treatments. I believe that TCC is also known as Bladder cancer. I did a bit of research on TCC as one of the two Urologists I saw told me that they thought that is what i had.
Shaggy, Thank you for your response. Transitional Cell is more common in the bladder. I am having a difficult time finding others who are dealing with this. Thank you for your kind words and I hope things continue to go well for you.0 -

Just curious, did you also have TCC in the kidney? TCC accounts for up to 95% of bladder cancers and only 5-7% of kidney cancers. I was diagnosed with TCC of the kidney and my father was diagnosed with TCC of the bladder...Genetics??0 -

Hi just curious as to how you are doing. I had same diagnosis a month ago and just had a nephruterectomy on Monday. Having some complications due to Foley catheter infection. Have follow up tomorrow, just wondering if you have any suggestions on what to ask surgeons. Thanks for any advice.0 -
