good scans

in Colorectal Cancer #1
i had a ct & mri oct 8. i received very good news. i have completed 6 tx of folfiri & avastin. the cancer in the liver is gone! the 2 abd cancer tumors have decreased. one was 3.4 cm x 1.6 cm & is now 1.6 x .6 cm. the other was 1.7 & is now .7cm the peritoneal tumors have significantly decreased in size. the rt ovary decreased from 6.6 x 5.1cm to 6x 5cm. so now the onc thinks the ovary may just be a cyst. i will have it removed whether it is a cyst or cancer. no new signs of cancer & all other organs do not have cancer. i will be doing 6 more tx & in dec be evaluated for surg. thank you everyone for your thoughts & prayers. and to think the sub onc (mine was on a 2 wk vaca) told me in june i had 3 months to live!!! i sure proved him wrong! and a big thank you to all of you who picked me up off the floor when i made my first post. i appreciate you being there for a complete stranger.

    How wonderful to hear some positive news. It sounds like you might be one of those people who respond really well to Avastin. I suspect you will become a good candidate for surgery. I was especially happy about your liver tumors disappearing. My husband begins Folfiri with Avastin on Wed for liver mets. Hopefully he will be as fortunate as you. Good luck and keep us posted.

    Wonderful news about your scans. I am of the same mindset...wether it is a tumor or just a cyst...get it out. Good luck with your next course of chemo. My dr didn't give me a timeframe... That must have been such a horrible sinking feeling. Thank God you proved him wrong. Keep up the good fight...I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
