My visit with Jr.
We had a very good visit, we talked of many things and he shared some things with me. He played a few songs on the keyboard and actually sang me a song and I was amazed at how he could still sing.
He hasn't been able to sing because it hurts him to do so but he sang beautifully and it didn't hurt him!!
I just sat watching him, here he was playing that keyboard, and here he was not suppose to be here by the doctors, he was to only have a month to live but it will soon be 3 months!! And here he is in his right mind playing that keyboard, talking in such strength.
I am just so thankful to God to let me have this time again with my brother.
I cherish these moments.
I look at him and know without a doubt that it is God.
Even the doctors are amazed that he is still here and in the condition he is in.
Jr. just lives one day at a time, he doesn't try to think beyond that.
He says God has given him peace about it all, no longer searching for that cure but just thankful for the day given him.
Like he says, not one of us knows if we have a tomorrow having cancer or not.
His attitude is so uplifting. When you talk to him he lifts you up.
Just had to share this here with those of you who have followed my brother's story.
I just want those of you who are fighting this disease and you caregivers to know that no matter how it looks there is always hope in God. NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
And just live in the day you are given and cherish every moment!
May God bless you all!!

Thanks, Rose
I have followed Ray's story and I'm glad to hear he's been given peace from God to deal with the Beast. We can do ALL things through Him. It's true. One day at a time is all we really need anyway, right? What a wonderful whim to see him! I'm just filled with warmth reading about the day you spent together.

so glad you were able to spend this peaceful time with your brother. I'm glad that he is enjoying each day. That's all we have anyway-just the moment, and how wonderful it is to spend it at peace.
Praying for Ray and the family,

Jr's wife, Kathy:
Pray for Ray, went to docs today, bloodwork good except for hemoglobin..he needs another transfusion on Friday..doc believes tumor is bleeding slowly. He goes for another scan on the 24th of this month(2 weeks). He gained 3 more pounds. Doc said again that he don't understand, . He said, " Ray you really do realize you are a walking miracle, it's a mystery to me..". He then asked if we are still using Essiac tea.. We said yes and he said good.0 -
