Help remembering names of Spirit Sisters again please.
For the newer ones here, I go to a Women's Retreat (Ft. Meade VA, So Dak) every 6 mths that we have the option to start the Retreat with a Lakota Sweat Lodge which I do, I like to have each name in my mind when I enter the Sweat.
A little info about the Retreat on the possibility that it might be appropriate for someone in the future. The weekend is totally free (including food and lodging) but getting there is personal expense. Though it is on a VA facility, it is totally privately funded primarily by a very generous Grant from DAV and other donations. The Staff all donate their time and are VA employees. Each Retreat is different but the overlaying theme is PTSD. It is for women vets and the colleratorals (wife/SO/sister/mother/daughter/etc.) of Vets with a PTSD DX. If anyone would like more info for themself or a loved one I'll be happy to give you more info and who to contact. These Retreats have been going on since mid '90's and as far as the Staff knows - the only ones of the kind.

I wish I could write back to you saying there are NO more, but, I can't Susan. We lost Meena, Heidi, Laurissa, pinkflutterby ( libby ) and grams2jc ( Jennifer ). They are our pink sisters in Heaven now. I miss all of them..
Thanks!

I was thinking of her Susan when I was writing my reply. I know she wasn't doing well. She was always so sweet, so upbeat, yet, I know she was having a really rough time of it. I fear the worst also.

I think StayingStrongForToday passed as well. She was in her last phase when she stopped writing. We should think of her as well.

Our Irishwhispers/Trish. Passed now two years ago.
Thank you for your meaningful tribute.
Kind regards, Susan
P.S.: Each time we lose a CSN member - in memory of them, I make a donation to the American Cancer Society. It's just what I do... And each time I've written the check, mailed it... I hope & pray that I won't have to do it again.0 -

Don't forget Marsha Mulvey as well. We have lost so many this year it's sad when you group them all together and see how many there were. May they all rest in peace.

This is a touching way for all of us to remember our sisters, I also find it hard to realize how many we have lost in just the 2&a half or so yrs since I joined. I think of them often and was just wondering about Shortscake the other day. She was so active on the board that I also fear the worse.0 -

Marsha was so sweet. You'd never have known the hard time she was having, as, she never said anything.0 -

each and every year.
My heart is sad to see this list up close -- However, my mind goes out to the
loved ones left behind. May they Rest In Peace...
I looked at this list and realized that I've learned something for each and every
WARRIOR, and this has enriched my life.
