Saw an announcement on jcpenney's website that they're offering a free haircut and style to all breast cancer survivors during the month of October. We've all earned a little pampering, right? Check it out:

    I've been thinking about rather I want to cut my hair again but hadn't made a decision. So this made me decide to go ahead and get it short again. Called the local JCP and they would have done it today but I have to work so going down on Monday.

    I figured I would bring my
    I figured I would bring my pathology report from the biopsy or surgeries that I had...do we have to bring a note from the dr. lol?

    Oh ok, Pathology report check
    Picture of my tumor check
    Rad grad diploma check
    Blanket from that cold rad room that the techs embroidered my name on check
    Pink footies I was given with the pink ribbon on them from techs check


    Anything else?

    Oh, good gracious, Sue -
    That is WAY too much work -- I'm too lazy to haul all that to the salon!

    Much easier to just go in there without a bra, say "Hi, I'm here for my 9:00 hair appointment, pull up my shirt, and flash them my surgery-scarred boobs -- I mean, hey, so many people have seen them by now, might as well add one shocked salon receptionist to the list!

    I am also getting quite a chuckle out of how will they know and what should I bring to show I am a survivor. You crack me up Ritzy!

    I figured when I show up for my 1:30 appointment tomorrow, I'll just flash my scarred boob if they question me.

    Just booked an appointment for Tuesday, when I called they couldn't have been nicer! Thank you so much JCPenney. Of course, while I am there I'll get some stuff for husband and will check out a skirt and top for me I saw advertised.

    I went last Friday, this was my second hair cut in three & a half years.
    They were very Sweet and helpful.
    My hair is very thin on top because of my new desease Graves so we tried to cut and shape it so that it would'nt appear as thin as it really is.

    I am making my appt. for the end of October so it grows a little so they can do the style I want...How dangerous to go to Penney's now that you mentioned clothes shopping!!
