I am not sure if I am getting the right advice. I am a senior receiving chemo right now. Is it wise or unwise to get a flu shot? What has your doctor said to you?
Thanks

Chemo & Flu Shot
If your Dr. wants you get it while you are on chemo, then it is ok. What does he/she say about it? I personally do not get the flu shot ( I am not on chemo presently) even though my Dr. would prefer that I do get it. The idea is that you already have a suppressed immune system and the flu could make it even worse. Talk with your Oncologist about it.0
