Great trip back east

It was so great to have my mom, son, daughter-in-law and new grandson, Linc, under one roof for a couple of days. We got some fabulous pictures and movies which I will share when we get them up on the computer. Upstate NY is beautiful in the fall and the leaves in the Adirondacks are absolutely brilliant right now. I felt really good during the trip, but there was a lot of relaxing going on. Mom used to be a big-time shopaholic, but now, since she's 88, with CHF and really bad arthritis, there is a lot of marathon QVC shopping going on in that house! So, we'd spend time watching, talking, etc.

Leaving is always so sad for me--can't help but think this could be the last time I see her in this life. But, being there was special.

I've been reading the posts--breaks my heart to hear about those of us who are struggling right now, but I always keep you all on my prayer list sending strong positive energy your way.

    Parting is always such sweet sorrow.....so glad you you felt good and had all your loved one's under one roof! How blessed you are to still have your mother!

    I am so glad you got to spend this time with your family. How special for your mom to get to spend it with her great grand child. How fun to get to shop with her without leaving the house! My mom was also 88 and each time leaving was so hard.... but the time spent with her was wonderful.

    Glad you enjoyed your trip, you needed the break.

    I absolutely love that you switched from shopping in the stores to QVC-so cute. Renee, you guys know how to make lemonade out of lemons!

    And I am so happy that you could be with your loved ones and have a restful break!
