Finished Rads

in Breast Cancer #1
Well ladies it is official I finished 33 rads today, so I am done with that. I wiil go to the Drs on Oct 9th to talk about the side effects of taking arimidex and I am sure he will have me start taking them that day. I made it through the rads without to much damage. I am red and sore, but it could have been much worse I want to thank everybody for all the support I have received so far. One door closes and another one opens, so off I go through the other door to see where it leads. Will post when I have more info

    Thanks ladies. It has not really sunk in that I am done. I was wondering does anyone know how long the side effects last? I have heard different stories and I am not sure which one/s are true. I know everyone is different but at least the feedback will be from people who have experienced it

    Huge accomplishment!
    Congratulations!!!

    I've been through rads twice. Both times, my doctor said it takes about a year to recover - although everyone's different. (I am still healing from the second round, with a few more months yet to go.) Take good care of yourself!

    I got a diploma also
    I got a diploma also Patricia, signed by all of my techs and my rads oncologist, and, I rang the bell they had there.

    I am glad we could help you thru this Patricia!
