in Uterine/Endometrial Cancer #1
I have a PET/CT scheduled Wednesday Sept. 26th and lymph node sampling on October 10th
in Dallas. Then at least I will have a stage and treatment if needed.

    Wishing you all the best. How long do you think you will be in the hospital and which one will you be in? So humana is accepted at UTSW? Hopefully this is not out of pocket for you. trisha

    Hospital
    Some will be out of pocket (they do take Humana) but at least I know I will get help. The hospital that Dr. Lea's office gave is St. Paul. I think it is on the UT Southwest campus. She said I would be there 3 or 4 days. I go this Wednesday for a PET/CT

    pet scan
    Pet scan went ok but don't know when I will get it. Today was a bummer every other way. Her nurse called today and I was supposed to go before the tumor board today. My hospital seemed to have misplaced my pathology slides so I missed the board and Dr. Lea canceled my surgery on the 10th of October. That is really a bummer as the kids took off work. Supposedly they are still trying to find them but now I have nothing that will be decided. I wanted to just cry. How are you doing? I'm hoping for better news so I can go forward.

    Sorry for the bad day.
    The good news is that the PET scan went ok. The results from that should only take a few days up to a week to get back. How can a Hospital misplace slides. Maybe it is a good thing the surgery is canceld and if the PET scan comes back clear they will not have to do surgery anyway. Praying for that outcome for you. I am doing ok, I go back to Dr Lea Oct 15 for another 3 month check up but have been doing good so far. Working and planning my daughter's wedding coming up in Jan. Let me know how it goes when they contact you with the results. trish

    Yes maybe I can get away with just checkups and no more surgery. I'm sure everything will be fine. Glad you are doing well and hope your checkup goes perfect.

    My slides have been located and received so at least they can be looked at now and hopefully
    now I will have a plan in a couple of weeks. I really like the Doctor and everyone I have come in contact with is so nice to me. Went to the kids football game which was great and was able to just relax. So today was a much better day and I know it will all work out soon.

    I hope thing are all right
    Hospitals can misplace all kinds of stuff (including those sponges and staples!). I hope you hear soon and don't have to have surgery.

    Have the drs at UT looked at the slides yet and made a plan of action for you? Di you get the results of the PET scan yet? How are you doing otherwise? trish
