Round two of Chemo tomorrow

Going tomorrow for my second round of chemo and for some strange reason I am nervous even though I know what to expect. Probably because I just started feeling better from round one and now it's starting all over again. Plus tomorrow is my daughters 9th birthday so I am feeling really bad that her birthday is sorta getting the short end of the stick this year. We are celebrating it today and she seems fine with it, I guess it's just me who is upset over lit.

    chemo anxiety
    I had 6 rounds of TCH (Taxotere, Carboplatin, Herceptin) last year. I developed what I called Thursday-phobia. Obviously, Thursday was my infusion day. I started taking xanax on the Wednesday evenings & sometimes even on Tuesday evenings prior to infusion day because I just got so anxious. This helped me a great deal as I was actually able to sleep and not be so angst filled on infusin days. You might consider doing the same thing.

    Happy birthday to your daughter and she more needs her mom to be well than to celebrate ONE birthday. I know it bothers you - just tell her how you feel -- that will surely help her appreciate YOU! (Not that she doesn't...you know what I mean)

    Christine .. gentle hugs, and positive
    thoughts for you. I've been there, done that with the chemo TCH and arranging what
    could be done -- during my infusion treatments. My children are a little older,
    and did what I could on my better days -- laundry, and catching up on emails. There
    were days .. then weeks when I could not do anything but lay in bed -- so ... please
    try to enjoy your daughters Birthday --- even tho it may be 1 day earlier.

    So it so important for you to take care of your self, and well being right now .. and it
    is difficult for us to put ourselves first -- it is something you will have to learn
    to do ...otherwise,the stress and frustration will engulf your mind, heart and soul.

    Hi jan
    Chemo went well today. They want me to go for 6 nepogren shots this time around since three wasn't enough last time.
    Dinner last night was nice my daughter had a good time. My husband and kids thought the wig looked great I found it to be very annoying it keep getting in my eyes and mouth when trying to eat lol but it did look very natural so I guess that's a good thing.

    This round really did a number on me I couldn't get out of bed for two days and on the third they had to hydrate me cause I was so weak.
    I wasn't excepting to be this sick and in this much pain it was so different from my first round. I went today for my 6th and last nepogren shot hopefully I will start feeling better in a few dys. I go Tuesday for bloodwork and hopefully my WBC is up and won't need anymore shots.

    Christine, I'm so sorry that you are having such a horrible time on chemo. I wish I could do something more to help besides praying for you. I hope that you will feel better in a few days.

    Oh no! I am sad to read this. Please let us know about your bloodwork on Tuesday. I will be praying that your WBC is up and that you won't have to have anymore shots.
