Finally after a month fighting with insurance company to approve his brain MRI, so he can get into the trial he is in :-) Insurance didn't pay, but the trial people found a sponsor and he got his CT's and MRI done. He just started on Sutent and in a month after randomization hopefully he gets the IMA901 vaccine. Four months after recurrence and no treatment the CT showed- There were 3 metastatic nodules before - one 90mm, one 20mm and one 12mm. So the smallest one is gone on it's own (YEY!!!) the big one grew to 99mm and the other to 22mm. No brain mets or any other spreading. I hope he tolerates the Sutent well and we have even better news next time.

Go Sutent. Great job getting him in trial and one step closer to NED. When do you find out if he's actually getting the IMA901 vaccine?

    Good luck to you both.

Ain't that the truth Foxy? Have you visited KIDNEY-ONC lately? It's particularly dynamic now with a host of brilliant people on, including an Aussie, Tony Johnson, who sounds like your twin - you'd applaud his attitude and drive. He had to push, just like you did, and, also like you, no-one is more deserving of a great outcome. He's highly articulate and a good thinker and has initiated an interesting analysis of the world-leading laser surgery treatments going on in Germany, accompanied by a critical approach designed to make an objective appraisal.

I tried cutting all the e-mails out so I could just read the updates. But now I seem to have been blocked from opening the site. Still too computer illiterate to navigate and do some things that most can do in their sleep. On the other hand, my wife gets the emails but does not have access to the archives. I'll work on it .

Did you look at the later part of my post on "ACOR - how to join lists"? I hoped it would help people here and it wasn't wasted since adman gave me a gracious thank you but it's disappointing if it didn't help anyone else. It was designed to enable users to get easy access to the Home Page + Archives without all the baggage of emails.
