My onco does not want to see me for four months

Every 6 months
I see my chemo Dr every 6 mths and always have since end of chemo late Jan 2010. He says that he only wants to see me because I'm 'high risk' (IBC) so he wants to see me every 6 months forever to be sure I stay on Femara/letrozole forever - not the 5 yrs that many do. (I see him this afternoon.) I am also to see my PA every 6 months which falls between his appts. Basically all the appts are with him is to walk in, get asked how are you feeling, he looks at the last blood work from 3 months before and being told to just 'keep on keepin' on' and see you in 6 months.

So glad to hear that all is good! Sue D
I graduated to every six month check ups with oncologist, now if mammo in Nov. is ok, I can go to once a year with mammos. The addition of each month of no check ups is a big deal to me and I'm so happy for all who are getting there.0 -
