Back to work tomorrow!!!!
I am in England; far in miles but still part of this family!
I was diagnosed in November 2011 with Olfactory Neuroblastoma- bit of a bombshell for a 46 yr old fit and healthy mum of children aged 11 and 9. Anyway- 3 surgeries ( 4 including the embolisation), 30 radiotherapy sessions and 6 chemos here I am going back to work tomorrow and feeling great.
My last PET scan was good and am not needing a scan for 9 months- over the moon is not quite adequate!!!
Its been a horrendous journey but also uplifting to realise how many people really care and love me- the help Ive been offered has been amazing!!
So wish me luck for tomorrow. And I'll be still here over the pond sharing our journeys together.
God Bless you all. XXXX

Hi Hellen,
I'm also from England but I've lived here in the USA for
25 years next week. I too got dx last November and back to work
already ( must be something in the English genes ). I'm also the same age.
Well I hope all goes well for you and all future scans all
comeback clean & clear.
God bless

Congrats on getting back to work!!
It is another of the BIG milestones after going thru several months where you, your body, your health, your treatment are the only things on the table....now back to another world, the one we temporarily left behind. I go back October 17th.....I'm excited and nervous...but am so looking forward to it. You've done good, kid!!!

Very happy for you ...no luck needed. If you can survive what you been through ...work will just have to adjust to your new found love of life and your new "toughness"...
Best,

Congrats Helen for fighting
Congrats Helen for fighting this battle and now being able to return to work. I am 7 weeks out of treatment and will return to work October 1st. I am looking forward to going back to part of my "normal" but a little apprehensive about whether I can make it thru a 40 hour week. Best of wishes to you.0 -

I worked from home during treatment..January through August 2009.
When I started going back to the office, I worked half days in the office, the other half from home for nearly a month.
It took that long to transition back... Between the drive and just added stress from the office (and being around so many people asking questions), it was a much needed transition period.
