My gyno *rule of thumb, does not do regular internal ultrsounds (not sure of name of it) but my oncologist insisted. I had one every 4-6 mths followed by d & c...
I am happy she had me do this though hassle and time off work..

Wow...I never realized exactly how many days it was. I started on it in January. Not many issues, a little joint pain and I blame it for not being able to lose my chemo weight.

Wishing you good luck too! If you do have bad side effects, you can always stop taking it. Hoping that you won't have any side effects!

I insisted on a baseline uterine ultraound before starting. Now I will be sure to follow-up like you do!
Congrats on starting your final year!0 -

I didn't count the daysAttygirl said:Thanks everyone. Just took #4.
Sorry if I freaked anyone out by doing the math. I didn't even figure in leap years, so it is actually more. Why am I so fixated on the #? One day at a time...
I didn't count the days days but counting the months. It will be 3 years in Dec since I started tamox.I was appehensive just taking that first pill.I was afraid of some serious reaction.
I won't have any female problems with uterus/ovaries since I had surgery to remove all that when I was 48.That's been a relief not to have that worry.
Hope you do fine on it and will be able to continue taking it the 5 years.I only have a loss of appetite since taking it.

...you are doing well on it after 3 years. I had to make a big leap of faith to take the first pill!
Loss of appetite? Never heard of that as a s.e. of tamox. If it meant drooping a few pounds, I honestly wouldn't mind that one.
Be well!0 -
Hope all goes well:)
