Pink Bus and Prayers Please

Is anyone up for a ride on the pink bus with me tomorrow? If not, prayers will work!
I need to have an ultrasound of an area above my reconstructed breast. I've had some swelling/tenderness there for a couple of months and now found what my onc calls a nodule (I call it a pea sized lump). My onc is hoping it's fat narcosis (sp) which he says is common with a tram reconstruction, altough he says it's more common shortly after the surgery. It's been 11 years since then, however, I had another cancer in the reconstructed breast five years ago with lumpectomy/chemo/radiation. I also had a biopsy last October on the lumpectomy scar as something showed on my mammogram, but fortunately it was benign. I'm hoping all these invasions to the reconstructed breast have caused fat narcosis, which I'm told is harmless.

    Hoping and praying for a good report about this nodule/lump. You will probably be ashamed of our behavior on the bus, but better more loyal friends you will never find. What kind of muffin do you want me to try to wrench out of MsGebby's hand for you before the others get on the bus? If it has chocolate in it..all bets are off...it's MINE, MINE, ALL MINE...bwwwhhhahaha...oh pardon me, I forgot myself.

    and let us know how the ultrasound results turn out, ok? Will you find out today, or need to wait for them to be studied? I can't even imagine how you feel after going through it all over again 5 years ago and to have these fears come up again after last Oct. I wish you really could see us on the bus with you, it would help to take your mind off of it for a bit.

    Yikes .. sorry Barb .. I too, missed the bus

    The ultrasound tech couldn't see anything with ultrasound even though she felt the lump. The radiologist said there was nothing there. The area sure was sore afterward. So, no idea what to think. I guess I just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get bigger.

    No MRI
    Hi Noel, no, no MRI was suggested. They said they would send the report to my onc. Knowing my onc, he'll just say all is fine and only touch base if it gets bigger. I'm actually surprised he approved the ultrasound. He usually likes to wait and see on most of my concerns.
