What a huge differencePinky68 said:Hi Jan & RE
That is my grandson who just turned one last week! They were home visiting from Texas and I held him almost the entire time!!
Hi RE, yeah he hardly spent anytime with me. Asked if allergic to meds, how many children, then had me sign the consent form, that was it.........He poked his head in the preop room at the hospital to say running 2 hrs. late...He didn't even go out and talk to my husband after surgery, the nurse did. There's not even a followup appt scheduled, but I'm going in to see him tomorrow regardless because I'm still quite swollen and my stomach has a rash......surgeons, can't live w or wo them lol
Joyce
I just had an emergency appendectomy and I am absolutely totally amazed at the difference in treatment by my Breast surgeon, Plastic surgeon and this General surgeon I had! WOW! My BS and PS are two of the most concerned compassionate Doc's I have ever met. The Gen Surgeon forgot I had BC with Mastectomy..I had my follow up because of what I feel are complications and wanted to be assured things were ok yesterday.. well I left there with..we need to get a CT scheduled and some blood drawn.. but no relief from the effects I went in to see him for! Still waiting for the CT Scheduler to call. When I see the PS or BS, their secretary schedules immediately any tests to be done.. I just feel like there is no concern this time around for how or ewhat I feel.
I hope you have better luck with your appointment!
Hugs

Hi Joyce! It sounds like your doctor doesn't have a good bedside manner at all. But, if he did a good job as a surgeon, I guess that counts for something. Right? Rest, relax and just take it easy.

It seems to be hit or miss sometimes with surgeons' bedside mannerisms! Like Ritzy stated, as long as they do a good job!
Survivorbc--Thanks for the kind words! Brayden radiates cuteness!!
Prayers to all,

I sure hope he treats you better when you see him tomorrow. I don't care how busy they are, they can still treat us like the human beings we are. I hope the swelling and the rash aren't causing you too much discomfort.
HUGS!!!

Some people are not warm and fuzzy, but Dr could be more reassuring. Fill out a comment card and let the nurses know how much you appreciate them, if you really do. Take care,

I still have a little bit of it on my sides, but better and dr wasn't concerned...I;m sure liking this new oncologist! He spent about 15 mins with me and explained the Arimidex thoroughly....I don't think I;ll be going back to see the surgeon again, My onco seems very knowledgeable....
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers during and after surgery, and for your concerns about the rash!!! I consider you all my Good Friends..
I'll let you know how I;m doing with the Arimidex,
Big Hugs,

Everythings good...Just been real tired and a little down.
I think it's the Femara I started taking 5 nights ago ..
Other than that minor side effect and very minor hot flashes, all's well!
Thanks so much for asking!!
I haven't seen a couple of the newer ones post lately either,
CyndiJW? and Theresa?, (i think she's from another country)...Hoping they are both doing good...
Thanks Noel,
Joyce0
