Port Implant Study (Do you feel self-conscious about your port's appearance?)
* Has it ever made you feel self-conscious?
* Have you ever wished you could hide it?
We are developing a skin cover that would hide the appearance of and provide protection for subcutaneous port implants. But...we need your help in understanding the real-time experience living with a port — any feelings/concerns/problems you encounter while wearing one.
If you would like to share your experience, please contact us!

Hi. I have a chest port. It
Hi. I have a chest port. It really doesn't bother me. Mostly my shirts cover it up. I guess after all I've been through this port is minimal concern. The only issue I would have is if I played softball again. I would worry about a ball hitting it.
Thanks

I have a port and absolutely hate it. It sticks out like a sore thumb and forget wearing tank tops and sun dresses. I actually had soneone poke me in the port and say "
OMG what happened there" Needless to say they were quite mortified when I told them it was there becase I just finished treatment for OC....0 -

I would like a product to protect my pot...my dog likes to lay on my chest and always seems to bump my port. Also when I sleep I sometimes. Sleep on my side and it hurts. I am not really self conscience about it..everyone knows. A protective. Product would be nice.....Val0 -

Mine really sticks out because I'm thin and my boobs are small. I avoid low cut tops, but other than that, it hasn't really affected my clothing options and I'm really not self-conscious about mine either.
