Prayers please!!
Just wanted to give y'all a little update so you can get the prayers and good vibes going. I'm having surgery tomorrow morning (Sept 17th) at 6:30. I have two neuro surgeons working on me to remove a tumor that is wrapped 320 degrees around my spinal chord. The surgery should take about 5-7 hours and its a pretty big one. They're removing all of my t3 vertebrae and a lot of my t4 and t5, as well as putting a cage in, doing a rib ressection, putting screws/rods in, and doing a bone fusion from C7 to T6 using cadaver bones. Anyway, its a pretty crazy and scary surgery, but I have a lot of faith that life is going to be a lot better after this is all over. I'll be in the ICU for a day or two and then as long as there are no complications, I should get moved to a normal room. Just asking for lots of prayers! Thank you all for always being so wonderful to me! I'll try to update y'all when I'm feeling better.

Big prayers coming your way
Big prayers coming your way Kat. Please let us know how you do. The surgery sounds tough, but I am hoping it helps. I had back surgery in 2009 for unstable spondylolisthesis (ther's a mouthful lol). Anyway, screws, rods, fusion and bone graft later and I am doing great. I went from only being able to walk 15 minutes before pinching nerve pain to being able to walk all day. Praying that you have a similar result!0 -

You got it Kat
You'll be in my thoughts and I'll most definitely be sending good vibes your way. This surgery most certainly sounds like a big deal and so I can imagine that it is quite daunting and scary. You are so strong and so courageous that I am sure that you will come out of this fine. My heart goes out to you. Good luck tomorrow.

Dear Kat
I will keep my prayers for you going! I had a spinal fusion with rods, screws and a bone graft and I'm living normally (despite cancer) - I had had no feeling in my legs prior to surgery. Rehab was hard but I wasn't as young as you are either. Best of luck to you! Please write when you are able.
Hugs - gently!

You are one of the bravest young person that I have ever read about online dealing with breast cancer.
I will send up all the positive thoughts I can. I don't pray but my mother does and I shall ask her to pray for you. I hope that your surgery goes smoothly without complications of any kind.
Best to you,
