Donations for Linda (Gabe N Abby Mom)

Following up on Jan's (phoenixrising's) post updating us on Linda (Gabe N Abby Mom), I heard back from Linda's friend Lisa on the fund that's been set up to help with Linda's hospital and insurance expenses.

Lisa said that Linda and her family are in danger of losing their health insurance unless they can raise some money to pay for the premium, and of course there are daily copays for her stay in the hospital. Lisa sounds like such a blessing: She's held two yard sales so far to raise money for Linda, and is planning more.

I have the information for sending donations, either directly to the fund that's been set up or to Lisa -- if you'd like to donate, please send me a private message, and I'll be glad to give you the info.

In the meantime, Lisa will let Linda know we're all sending our love and prayers to her, and I'm sure we'll be hearing from Linda soon, once she's home from the hospital and feeling better.

    Traci and fellow Pinks... this is such a good work that you do on behalf of Linda and her family. It's such a hard and stressful time for the family. God bless them abundantly. Will send my contribution as well.

    I was wondering where on caring bridge one can donate to Linda, I only found where you can donate to support caring bridge in honor of Linda but not sending funds to Linda. IF you can direct me where on the page I can donate to Linda that would be great, thanks I appreciate it.

    My check went out yesterday....Now I'm wondering if I should have just made it out to Linda's husband...instead of the " fund" ....have no idea if there will be tax liability for Linda's family on this ...good old IRS will probably want their cut come tax time....grrrrrrr....that's all they need! Any accounts in here? Just wondering...

    voice of compassion and reason for so many on this board. She
    went through so much without letting on to the rest of us the
    hell she was going through. She always put us first, didn't
    want to scare, discourage or even worry us. But worry we did.
    Little does she know how much we have come to rely on her
    words and her fearless leadership. I miss you with all my heart
    Linda.

    And while I can't help as much as I want to, I will do the
    best I can.

    You will be on my mind and in my heart till I hear again from you.

    Just want to clarify that donations made via CaringBridge go to CaringBridge in tribute to Linda - they do not go to Linda. She will get something that lets her know that you donated to CaringBridge in tribut to her. These donations are a good thing, but might not be what you intended.
