My wife has just found out that she has stage 2, I am scared and I know that we are in for a long road. I just wanted to ask what can I do for my wife during this time? I am lost and I know she is also, but reading the posts here all of you have and are dealing with the same thing. What could someone have done to make this a little easier?

Your wife
My wife was dx on Oct. 12, 2011 with squamous cell carcinoma of the Bartholins Gland. She had a partial vulvectomy on Nov. 8, 2011, 28 radiation treatments, 9 rounds of cisplatin and three rounds of Xeloda. My best advice is to become her health care advocate. Go to every doctor's visit with her. Learn everything you can possibly learn about her cancer. Don't be afraid to question what the doctors are telling you. The more informed you are, the better they seem to respect you. Be her pillar of strength because god knows she will need someone to lean on. This cancer will effect you both in ways you can never imagine. This is a very personal cancer. You will need to support her and be very understanding. Be strong and supportive.0
