There you are!
I so look forward to Thursday night! You are going to have a great weekend! thank you for this weekly post! Our weekend is yet unplanned which can actually be quite fun sometimes! right now I have a ring tale cat sleeping on the recliner with me and my sweet husband sitting next to me, just got shown something "really cool" by the 9 year old granddaughter = she "flicked" her tooth out! I mean, really, what can be better than what I'm enjoying right now!
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Steved (hope I got that right) keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for your big day Monday.
Love to all

Fixing up bedroom
Going to change a room we're using as an office to a bedroom because it looks like a lot of visitors first week in October. Some great friends from Denmark are coming Oct 2nd. Hope I have the energy to get this done. Praying for you and everyone a peaceful weekend. Jeff0 -

Two good ones in a row, one down, one to go
I made it to another birthday! Mine, my husband's and my father's are all this week, so we divided up two weekends for celebrating as the only survivors in this family. First time in four years on our birthday week that no one was dying, sick or in cancer treatment and the three of us felt good enough to even plan anything.
Last weekend was "my" birthday celebration...on Sunday out in my dad's new-to-me boat that I hadn't been out on since he got it two years ago due to my cancer treatment, out to breakfast at a cafe on the lake, and to his house for a grilled dinner and board games on Saturday, just the three of us and so grateful to be together and to be well together in this moment in time.
OK so I was dead tired on Monday, but it was all worth it to do something special like that and be able to physically endure it.
This weekend my dad has a small dinner party being given by his friends at a restaurant on Saturday so will be going to that. The rest of the weekend it's just me and my husband spending time together. We are on a bunch of restaurant email lists and got several coupons for free meals or free snacks. We will start off with a free handmade pizza on Friday, and probably free meal of Mexican food on Sunday. And I am hoping someone has some birthday cake somewhere for one of us or all of us.
I was too sick to eat in chemo last year at birthday time. This year, I'd just like one
piece of a really good chocolate cake! Yum, here's hoping one appears :-)

This weekend
My weekend will consist of trying to keep busy and not think of next week (Admission day is monday 17th, surgery will start on the Tuesday 18th). My mother and borther arive from New Zealand this afternoon so will leav my last day of work early to pick them up. My wife's parents arive Sunday so all the supports are in place and will mean a busy weekend but that is waht I need.
Saturday morning the kids have tennis lessons followed by receiving medals from the mayor for a library project they did in the holidays (reading six books in six weeks). The the Tour of Britain (our version of the tour de france including our champion Bradley Wiggins) is coming through the local village so will see that. Sunday my son plays football so last chance for a while for me to be a pushy, shouty sideline dad and then big family meal Sunday eve.
Lots of distraction, bit of wine, some good food and loads of family will all help pass the time.
Steve
Ps hve arranged for Mags to receive updayes from my wife via a yahoo group so she can update the page here as necessary.0 -

I am in Toronto with my daughter and son-in-law for the weekend. He had a photography opening at a gallery last night and today i am going with my hubby to work on his new/old studio. It is sort of a loft space and needs a ton of painting.....when the going gets tough bring in the OLD folks.....
Steve I am thinking about you so much.....I hope that you can take some pleasure from this weekend with your family as they gather
with fondest love
