    Birthday!
    Thank you all for remembering my birthday. I must first apologize for being so late in responding, but these past few months have been filled with just about more than I can handle. It isn't like me to ignore a birthday greeting, so please accept my apologies.

    My husband has had a long bout with a cyst that was removed from his back, and leading up to surgery I was all consummed with making sure he saw and received the best treatment possible. During my cancer battle, this man was by my side every step of the way, and I would, in no way, want to be any less a rock for him that he was for me. This started back the first part of September, and culminated in doctor after doctor visit, trying to decide what to do, and then finally surgery on October 30th. Thank God, after all of this, he is due to be released on December 3rd. The tumor was right against his spine, and about 1 inch deep and about 3 inches in diameter. As it turned out, it was a benign tumor, and he was so fortunate to have found good doctors who really took over his treatment plan. However, he has needed constant care, and I was negligent in keeping up with all of my pink sisters (and brothers) who had been so faithful to me.

    I am back, and wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. I promise to not be away from the boards this long again. Again, thank you for your birthday wishes.....I will enjoy them today. Hugs, Judy

    Dear Judy,

    So happy to hear that your husband is doing fine and will be home for Christmas. The wonderful news is that the tumor was benign and that he had excellent doctors.

    Now both of you can relax and enjoy the holidays. Never apologize for neglecting your sisters when taking care of your family. We all understand.
