UPSC TREATMENT

Hi Connie
I'm approaching my 4th anniversary with Chester (my UPSC) and I share this journey with you! I'm dealing with a second recurrence and will have my scan on Sept 7 and see my doc on the 12th also. We will have to compare notes!!
All I can say is to try to stay in the moment and not get too far ahead of yourself with worry and anxiety - not an easy chore. I love and trust my medical team. I have practiced many alternative treatments and I encourage you to check into these and see if any will help you in any way.
Welcome here. We support each other with love and caring.

Thankyou for your response and kindness, Mary Ann. You are one of the women on this site whom I feel I know because of all you have shared with us. I am rooting for you and will be keeping you in my thoughts as we go through our scans and followups in the next 2 weeks. I have supportive family and friends but nothing trumps "been there, done that.".
I am now looking into supplementary therapies. My daughter arranged for a massage for me-my first- and I can't believe how peaceful I felt afterwards. I am starting to feel stronger so intend to join a tai chi group. It is something I have long wanted to do but couldn't until I retired due to my work schedule. My area is limited in what is available but I hope to try meditation and will perhaps look into reiki.

Just finished my scan. Will be thinking about you tomorrow, Mary Ann.
I got my blood work today. I can't wait to finish scan and then I will go to lunch at Panera and enjoy a nice soup and sandwich!!!! I'm going to take a diet break till I see my doc on Wed and get the "verdict".
Acupuncturist told me Tuesday that she could sense that my lymph system was "working very hard". I asked her if that was good or bad "hard" and she said she couldn't answer that and then my doctor will tell me who is winning. Darn - what the heck???
Trying to stay in the moment. Deep breathes...
Hope we both get good news next week. Take care. Mary Ann0 -
