Does anyone have flank pain?
I was wondering if anyone on Foliri and avastin ever had or have flank pain? Over the past three days I have had intermittant pain in my right low back and low right abdomin. The pain comes and goes and often is worsened when I change positions. I still feel very good. I am functioning at 100%. I find it hard to believe it could be worsening cancer but of course I am worried. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other reasons for this pain?
thanks lori

thanks for the responses. Ithxmiker said:Flank pain during Chemo can
Flank pain during Chemo can also be an electrolyte imbalance.
Just a thought...

thanks for the responses. I will call my doctor in the morning. I am putting it off because there is a part of me that does not want to know. I have mets to the peritoneal and retroperitoneal nodes so kidneys, appendix, ovaries ect... all likely places to get mets. I take a lot of suppliments including vitamin c so I think it may be a kidney stone. I would be happy if it was a small stone. It is amazing what becomes good news when you have cancer. Although this could get complicated because I am on avastin. Its a dull ache right now but severe pain seems to come and go. It seems to me if it was cancer pain it would not come and go. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thanks again for responding

I didn't know what flank pain was, but now I do. I get that off and on too. I get it maybe once to a couple times a week, probably just another symtom of chemo, that's what I think0 -

I have pain on my lower right side and lower right abdomen almost constantly. My Onc says as long as there's no fever involved, not to worry. It's always best to check with your own doctor. I have many times thought it was kidney, appendix, another tumor - all sorts of things go through my head. Pain meds are my friend now and then.
