24 HOUR REDIRECTION OF PRAYERS

To all of my CSN buds who have my back, I am asking to redirect any prayers and positive thoughts to a co-worker of my wife.
We learned earlier today that the 21 yo daughter of a co-worker of my wife was on one of those 59CC scooters and was hit broadside by an F250 truck. Ironically she was taken by ambulance to a hopspital in Cape Girardeau MO where my wifes brother is an attending ER Physician, and has since been airlifted to the medical complex in St. Louis where my wife and friend (co-worker) work.

Cyndi (co worker) and Meaghan (daughter) can use some serios prayers from anyone who is willing to send some good thoughts. She is only 21 yo and was a star athlete and student at Southeast Missouri University.

I would gladly give up my life now to save her's. I just finished playing in a co ed kickball league with Meaghan's mom several weeks ago, and cannot immagine what it must be like walking any distance in her shoes.

Really makes me know how lucky I still am. My two sons are here and doing just fine.

    Prayers Abound
    Don't post much anymore - having our own struggles - but nothing like some on this board. My prayers go out to everyone here and so many others I know who are struggling. I pray so hard for you, Mike, and for Meghan. I too am so grateful my two sons are here and safe.

    Mike, if anyone can beat this new challenge, it is you. I have a great deal of hope for you. Prayers abound for everyone.

    This is really bad news....I will continue the prayers for both the daughter for recovery and the Mother for the strenghth she'll need to get her little girl through. I am so sorry, life hits outta left field. Katie

    Just got home and read this and wow......how life can change in an instant,
    you bet Mike we will pray for her, but we will continue to pray for you also.
    My wife and I will send positive vibes and pray all of Gods miracles will be
    with her in her time of need.

    Since it seems I can offer little in the way of much physical help to any of my online ...praying is something I am able to offer and feel as if I am giving back ...

    Cyndi and Meaghan are on the list for tonight and several nights....

    Since it seems I can offer little in the way of much physical help to any of my online ...praying is something I am able to offer and feel as if I am giving back ...

    Since it seems I can offer little in the way of much physical help to any of my online ...praying is something I am able to offer and feel as if I am giving back ...

    Hopes and Prayers for Cyndi and Meaghan, Mike, and you.

    One of the surprises I got with my Mom's recent passing was when we were going thru picture albums, and came upon one from April of 69, when I was 14. The four of us in my family were standing in the Grandparent's front room for the picture. Hmmm: in the 6 months prior to the picture I had been in a car accident, the initial Surgeon had told my Dad he couldn't even give me a 10% chance of living, I'd spent 51-days in the hospital in Freeport, Illinois, followed by 24 days in Chicago's Rush, and had been thru 8 Operations. And, yep, the picture shows the trachea tube I was breathing thru, but I was smiling, and even the 4.2" scar on my forehead is hardly noticeable, and the hair on the left side of my skull had grown back!...She's only 21, Mike, and has her whole life ahead of her. Yes, this may be a setback for her, and the life she had hoped for herself to live, but life is what we make of it, or make of what's been dealt to us. To me, the greatest of tragedies from accidents are those involving paralysis/spine damage, and I Pray she has been spared such an injury.

    Yes life is hard to predict. All we can do sometimes is pray. I am praying for this young girl and her family as well as you.
