Second opinion Tomorrow afternoon
Well will be heading to Mpls., late morning. My appt, isn't til 2 at the Masonic. And I still feel pretty much like doo-doo. Was given meds for it...but yeah not working. They didn't do alot of testing on me at my primary (local) dr., but the ones they did came back all good. Were thinking I'd be poked and prodded enough on Monday. I was talking with my kid sister yesterday, and told her remember Mom starting this before she left us ? She at first told me not to be dumb...but then said yeah. I know my nerves are shot plain and simple. I guess just being given validation on my dx, and any and all options from a specialist in my dx...will calm my soul. I'm trying hard to stay upbeat and moving forward...but knowing this demon isn't gone from me yet...well I aint doing the best with this. Can't wait for the 3 hr drive...and having to stop a zillion times for a bathroom run. And get to fight with the construction zones...think it ought to be an adventure ! Katie

You might get there and found out whatever
has you feeling so punk is compelely unrelated to C.....by "Mom started this before she left us" I don't know what you mean....but still it could be completely unrelated, and you know how our magical magnifying minds can be....If I was sick I'm sure I'd be thinking cancer...we can't help that at this juncture of our lives.
Sending prayers and positive thoughts with you Katie....and tucking you into my pocket for tomorrow.

Hey Phrannie,
I was a caregiver to Mom for 5 yrs. And yeah she started the stupid incontinence issues before her death in 2010. I thought I had a leg up on this cancer thing because of what we helped Mom through. And no I have a completely different dx, Mom's was ovarian. It's hard still to get past what she indured. So it's hard for my thoughts not to go there, so to speak when issues continue to be severe after 6+ weeks. I'm keeping my head up and shoulders back...and will continue to fight all of these issues. And Phrannie thank you for always being there, it means alot ! Hoping all is going forward for you, and my thoughts are with you also ! Katie0 -
Will be thinking of you
on your long drive and your pokes and prods...could be Mom's dx but I'm thinking ~~~whisper, getting older, gasp!! I have the same problem, Dr wanted to put me on meds, but I rather like the challenge of getting the back door unlocked and racing to the bathroom crosslegged, told him no thanks, taking enough pills as it is. Hopefully, someone is making the trip with you? Buy some depends, turn up the radio and cruise!!0 -

Hi Katie.
Remember why you decided to start this fight in the first
place, never give up or have negative thoughts always stay
positive no matter how hard it might be .......remember battleing
this beast is over 50% mental so try to remain positive and have
faith. I know it is easy for me to say this to you cause I'm not
in your shoes but it touches each and everyone here when one
of our "family" members are going through what you are.
God be with you tomorrow and always.
God bless

OMG Katie....I have had to wear panty liners since this c thing began....I watch that commercial about leaky pipes, and think about maybe taking something for it...but the side effects are constipation and dry mouth....well thanks but no thanks, I already got my share of those two problems.
Honey, I think this is an age thing, with possible frosting being the chemotherapy...after all, chemo is hard on our kidneys....I can tell you the days I got chemo, I went loaded for bear....5 BIG kotex, two in my sweatshirt pocket 3 in my purse...all that hydration made for miserable time (my girlfriend Annie bought me some depends for chemo days, but I just couldn't do it...LOL)....She wrapped them like a gift....all Greg said is "You sure got weird friends"....ha!
It's going to be OK....I mean it!!

P-just wanted to let you know it started out with terrible diareha...guessing 7 weeks ago now, and now but of coarse the uti with spasms. Not because I want to post these stupid issues...but incontinence, heck I don't know. I didn't have chemo, just rads months ago. And I know my dx follows nerve endings for the most part, not lymph system. Will know more tomorrow. Katie0 -

One of the antibiotics the ONC gave me for thrush created the same problem for me. I quit the drug and problem stopped. Forgot about it until the next batch of thrush, same prescription, same result. Something in Ensure Plus, same result for me. Two days out of Cisplatin tx everytime same but I know you said you didn't have chemo. Guess what I'm trying to say is that lots of things can be the cause and I hope they find yours and that it is a simple fix.
It is miserable in itself without having to travel. Prayers for an easy trip.0 -

Yeah meds are rough on us period ! Our immune systems have been kicked through the field goals so to speak. I'm a football fan (Vikings of coarse). I will get more current answers in the afternoon tomorrow...and right now thinking only positives ! I'll take your prayers and thank you...I want you to know I'm thinking of you too ! Katie0 -
