Hi Denise,
I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking good positive thoughts with your Rituxan today. I hope everything is going good with no problems. It took 7 hours on my first day of chemo because they had to set the Rituxan drip to a slow rate. Seems like that first day went on forever. Now it only takes 3 hours or so, which is way better. You will be tired from the pre-meds, but in a few days you will feel more energetic. You take care and just rest this weekend. You are going to do fine and after the SCT is all done it will be so worth it! Post how you are doing if you feel up to it. Take care and prayers coming your way. Much love...Sue

    the retuxan took 4 hours to get this is my fourth time getting it i guess this old body is used to it lol. like you i had a reacation to it and it took 7 hours to get it. the first time i always feel wiped out when i get it, tomorrow is the nasty chemo, 6 days untill my new stem cells counting down. blessings denise

    Hi Denise,
    I was wondering...do you get the harsh chemo..(big guns) for the next 5 days, and then on day 6 they do the transplant? I've been reading about the procedure and that seems to be whats done. If I'm understanding what I've read, this week will be pretty tough because they have to wipe out your immune system. I imagine you are not going to have much energy, so don't worry about up-dating us unless you absolutely feel up to it. Please rest today and tonight and know you are in all of our prayers. I'm so proud of you and how good your attitude is. You are stronger than you think. Well...hang in there and stay as peaceful as possible...(I'll be doing the worrying for you) :) Love you...Sue

    i get the harsh chemo for 3 days and then rest for a couple of days and then the new stem cells the worst day is supposed to be the fifth day after i get the stem cells, at least i get to do all of the transplant outpatient. blessings denise

    as long as nothing happens i can stay outpatient, i have been here for three days and i already miss amanda so bad i cant hardley stand it,how can i make it for 90 days, blessings denise

    Thats a long time and I totally understand you missing your daughter Amanda. Is there anyone that can bring her to visit you...maybe 2 weekends a month? Maybe she could take the bus..(Greyhound). I don't know Denise...hopefully you can work something out to see her. Maybe if you talk to each other every night on the phone you will feel better..e-mail...text. Wish I lived close to help you out. Saying prayers for you my friend.

    Video chats via Internet?
    Hey Denise,

    Something else you might consider between visits is using
    the internet to have video chats with your daughter. It's not the
    same as physical contact but it's better than just the phone I think.

    Hi Denise

    I just want you to know that I will be thinking of you and sending you positive wishes for the best possible outcome.

    I will keep you in my prayers. You are a very strong lady and you will get through this.

    I also think that Jim had a really good idea about the video chat with your daughter. I have used it when I had to travel to Florida and Texas. I was able to see my husband when I talked to him. Best I could do in a not great situation. Plus it's free, just sign up.
