    Wow, Pepe, I don't ever remember this much bad news. This weekend, I am going to try and get my spirits back up.I want to "honor" those no longer with us, by spending every minute i can enjoying my family and friends.

    Vacation!
    Having a pizza dinner with the youth from church tomorrow night. Sunday we'll have church, and then Bill and I head to the beach. We're finally getting our vacation!

    I would love to see the Ring Cycle at Bareuth! I have all but Gotterdammerung on DVD, but even on a huge screen, it's just not the same as a live performance.

    Yes, I have all four of the James Levine production in New York. I wasn't impressed with the ending. I forget how Brunhilde died, but it wasn't by immolation while on her horse.

    Sorry if that was a spoiler for some, but as Bugs Bunny said "Ehh, it's opera, did you expect a happy ending?"

    There are much worst endings in opera than the dead of Sigfried and Brunnhilde! What about Violetta? LOL.
    About brunnhilde I remember she inmolate her self and her horse on the funeral pyre of sigfried wasn't ?

    thank you again pepe for asking each week what we all are doing as i feel this brings us closer to each other. just to know the good things we can do despite having or had this cancer is so uplifting. and reading about when someone is not doing good lets us rally around them. i am trying to get my strength back up as i had chemo #4 on tue, wed & thur since monday was a holiday. went to a grandsons' football game today & then this evening to a columbus ohio zoo presentation at the church where 1 of my grandsons goes to preschool. we live in indiana & columbus is about 2 hours away so we were glad they came with all the animals. all the kids loved it! then reality set in & i realized i was exhausted so we had a carry out for supper. tomorrow is rest day for me. everyone have a good weekend!
