I'm with you
some sad news..nothing going on here in Arkansas either. I feel like doing a lot of cooking this weekend - going to turn on my Paula Deen side and bring out the butter and cook! Hopefully a little cooler here, may turn the AC up and pretend it is already fall!0 -
taking it easy
The news these past few days has me sad and mad at this cancer. I'm going to try accupuncure tomorrow for my neuropathy. Staying home and doing stuff around the house this weekend. Pray everyone stays well this weekend and enjoy every moment. Jeff0 -
So enjoy your advanced fall there Lucky!Luckygirl2 said:I'm with you

its been awhile
i haven't been on the board here much lately... agreed, more sad news than i can remember.
I'm 6 weeks past my colon resection and bag take down surgery, and have been busy recovering and enjoying no chemo since july 3rd.
I honestly feel better than i've felt in several years.
today i plan to read and catch up on this board.
this weekend... University of Michigan Football game, and go visit my son in college on Sunday at University of Cincinnati.
i maintenance chemo in another week.
oh yeah... i'll be praying for all the sad news on this board and praying for all the families and fighters!
stay positive for your own battles... and don't sulk in the sad news of others!
Just pray for them, and get back to taking care of yourselves.
hugs

I will say a special prayer
I will say a special prayer and give toast to my CSN friends who are having a rough go of it lately. We will be gathering with friends and family this weekend to celebrate my big 60. I'm not wild about birthday parties for myself but it makes my wife happy and it will be nice to be with close friends and family.
Have a nice weekend all!0 -
Just enjoy it Ketz.ketziah35 said:I don't know. The news on
I don't know. The news on the board has been a bit upsetting. I will read the book I am reading. Ladies luncheon?! I don't know. Maybe there is a museum exhibit I can visiit.
Hope you do your visit to the museum! Culture is always a big thing.
Hugs my friend!0 -
Not much around here this
Not much around here this weekend. My son has a baseball game on Saturday...but I might not be able to make it...I am dealing with low WBC ... And a terrible cough and sore throat. Hopefully my dr can give me something to clear this up so that I can get back to chemo next week. So I pretty much plan to take it easy this weekend.

I am one of the lucky ones. Enjoying a weekend with my husband in Milwaukee. Thanks for keeping up with this thread, Pepe. It helps us all.
Am I actually still in Phoenix? Complete with flash flood warnings.
Just hubby's doctor appt. today and wade back home. Of course will be watching my Arizona Diamondbacks game on TV later. We're not the best, but may make the "wild card" in the playoffs. I enjoy it anyway.
JBG still off chemo. Gamma Globulin shots are next to kick up those platelets.
Hope all have a good weekend.
Luv,
Wolfen0 -
This weekend
I've been invited to do a check out flight at Hill AFB on an F-16, then the rest of the weekend will be spent at Yosemite National Park, free climbing El Capitan.
Oops, my bad. Just go home from the hospital a couple hours ago, with a freaking fever, so I'll spend the weekend staring at the TV and reading.0 -
