Hi Yasmin
So sorry but I don't have a specific answer to how long it takes. How long it takes usually depends on how quickly you can set up the appointments for the follow-up tests. I think your doctor is just being careful and smart to have you get more tests that can confirm the ultrasound's results of no evidence of cancer. I know how anxious you must be feeling. The waiting (for tests and the results) can be so difficult but try to focus on your beautiful baby. Please continue to come to this board anytime, especially as you prepare for the additional tests.
Sending you and your family lots of prayers and hugs.

Ultrasound is really not a
Ultrasound is really not a good diagnostic tool for ovarian cancer. I had two gyn's tell me that I had a degenerating fibroid. One ultrasound tech even said right in front of me "I can't see the right ovary because of this big fibroid." She and doctor were both dangerous morons! You are lucky that your doctor is playing it safe. Had either of the two idiots I went to first sent me for a CT, they would have clearly seen a large ovarian mass, and I might have caught it at stage 1a instead of 1c. The CT is a very good thing, and I hope it shows you are in the clear.0 -
