So - how was your Holiday weekend?

Unfortunately ours started out with Hubby being really busy (he's a tow driver) BUT we had Sunday afternoon 'off' and then Monday morn we took Boss's boat to Sheridan Lake. Well - there were so many skiers and 'Ski-Doos' out that the the only thing we caught was a log that stole my new KastMatser. So we left and went to Pactola - it is incredibly low so left and just went on to Deadwood for prime rib. Got there a bit early for Silverado Buffet to be open so I played the 'penny slots' while Hubby sat to 'watch people' (he likes doing that). Well just before I lost my $4 (the cash in my pocket) he came over and gave me $5. (Yeah I'm a BIG spender LoL). When the buffet opened I had $9.96 on the machine so cashed out to go eat. After dinner, I went back to the penny slots (Hubby to drink Pepsi and 'watch people') and when we left I was $0.00. Oh well - we had a great day!

    I've never been to a casino and don't know how to gamble.
    So if I ever ended up in one, I would probably end up playing the ATM machine by mistake for an hour wondering why I just can't win anything?!

    That's why I only take cash
    That's why I only take cash (or get Hubby's cash LOL)! and only when we go to Deadwood. There are on-line casinos all over town so it wounld be really easy to get out of control here. I will not go into them. The times we go up to Deadwood (about 40 m.), I do always play the 'cheap' slots.

    Hubby used to work for a company that had their Christmas parties in Deadwood. The covered the cost of a room there and then gave cash to wifes - I anlways took that money and ''wandered' the streets of Deadwood. Usually wound up with more than I started with -but ith wasnm't mone6y needed to 'pay the bills' .

    The first time I played the "one armed bandit" was MANY years ago (1989) in NV and boys and Hubby insisted I had to. We were just barely in NV out of CA. - I did REALLY good on that quarter.

    My holiday
    My holiday started out good.Grandson called at the very last minute wanting me to pick him up.(We meet 1/2 since they live a distance).We had more plans for the holiday because my husband finally had 2 days off.BUT Grandson came and he was sick with a cold.All we managed was to eat out one day.

    This weekend my husband has another day off.Tomorrow(Sunday) and we were going to a concert tonight.That's fizzled.I'm now sick with a cold/nausea.Started less than 2 days after my grandson was here.Never believe it takes time to spread.It happens sooner than what doctors say.All week I've been dragging.TODAY I will be at Urgent Care. Vicks usually knocks this out but not this bug.No fever but worn out and gaggy/coughing all the time. I don't even want to sit in the waiting room to get seen.

    I Never get colds.It's been over 5 years.I avoid sick people.My X daughter-in-law knew he was sick but sent him anway.As soon as he walked in the door he went to the bathroom and puked.

    Going to make myself chug to Urgent Care.Don't even want to drive but have to.

    I remember though just a few years ago a couple won big at a casino.They lived not far from us.Driving home they saw a car that kept following them.The decided not to go home.I'm sure it was a planned robbery and they were smart.Instead they went straight to the local police Dept before going home.Their lives may have been ended that night if now for them being alert.

    When I hear these things it makes me more alert of my surroundings.I've been in some sticky situations but managed to be OK because I was alert.

    Quiet.....
    Just the way I like it! We went to friend's Saturday evening for a BBQ.....good friend's and lots of food, which if my taste buds were normal, I'm sure was quite good..... The rest of the weekend, hubby played golf and I chilled.....I am soooo ready for fall weather....just enough chill in the air for a sweater.....ahhhhh...
