always hard to loose your best friend that has given so much unconditional support and love.

i lost my black lab Mandy many years ago to almost they same conditions, i will never forget the sad look on her face but i know she is now pain free and having fun.

    feel free to vent anytime
    john

    Thank you
I feel so comforted with all of your warm responses, they are helping
my wife, daughter and myself come to terms of not having Shandy around.
We cannot thank you all enough but we still say thank you from the bottom
    of our hearts.

    God bless
    Tonsil dad,

    Dan.

    So Very Sorry
I'm with Kent - - Rest in Peace, Caregiver Shandy. Words can't adequately express the importance of the furry members of our cancer fighting teams. Loving creatures who started out as incredible family members become somehow something even more when they help us when we're ill. I'm very sorry for your loss.

    I understand
how you feel, because in the middle of my dad's treatment now we had to put to sleep our 10-year old dog (German shepperd) :-(. He was sick for quiet some time now and we had to make this sad decision... It was very sad for my dad also because they were like best friends.

But my dad had to concentrate on his treatment so we did not want to be sad for long. We must take it as a cycle of life...

I'm so very sorry for your loss too!

My condolences on the passing of your beloved dog. I too lost my best friend during my recovery. Almost the exact same story as yours so I can relate.

    Let the grief flow,

    Tom

    I know the feeling
    Dan:

So sorry about your doggie. We had two shelties Rowdy and Blue and I had to put Blue down 7 months to the day that Charlie passed away. That was March of last year. This past April I had to put Rowdy down as he was almost 14 had glaucoma in one eye which he was going to have to have removed and he was becoming blind in the other eye. So I opted for putting him down but it was so hard. He had been with me thru everything with Charlie and he knew the minute I walked thru the door on Aug. 21 2010 that his daddy was gone. He was right by my side constantly. However, the same funeral home that took care of Charlie's cremation took care of Rowdy and Blue too! So they are with their daddy on the entertainment center. I now have Sammy (a dachshund) who we adopted in Nov. 2008 and he's 5 and also a 6 month old Sheltie puppy that I named Chargee Boy (after his daddy of course) A friend of mine's oldest daughter called Charlie Chargee when she was little because she couldn't say Charlie. He's quite a guy and that's his picture with my comment. So sorry for your loss.
