Alkalizing Your Blood ?
I think it really should be understood, that our body fights to
keep it's (b lood) PH level between 7.35 to 7.45. It does that
by way of using it's numerous organs to balance the PH level.
The PH level must be strictly maintained or we'll be quite sick
quite quick; our body does the PH leveling automatically, as it
does in all living beings.
Our mere existence is assured automatically through PH balancing,
and it is near impossible to change that narrow PH factor by
ingesting ingredients that are acidic or alkaline.
Ingesting acidic or alkaline foods or liquids does not change
the blood/body PH factor, but ingesting an abundance of either
alkaline or acidic products will over-tax the body with it's
attempt to keep the proper balance. The stress placed on the
body by attempting to change something that the body is
doing to remain alive, harms the body; it stresses the system.
All that is fairly "text book" biology; there really is no argument
to it otherwise.... with exception of course, of those wishing to
sell products geared to the "wholesome health market".
No matter how inexpensive it is, if it causes harm...it's too expensive.
Best of health!

Thanks very much for your input John! Where did you learn about TCM and the herbs you used? Can you point me in that direction so I too can learn about them?
My best to you,

thanks sharon
I am an expert only on the mess i have got myself into, and whatever ever health i have.
its 2am, i got home after midnight from work. i had to answer some emails, one from my new top functional and integrative doctor in the usa. then i had to write another to beg a big time ceo for some complimentary mysterious colon cancer super food.
If i get this it will have made the whole trip to the usa worth it, big time.
I will wait to i get this new therapy bedded down as well. but yes its the third new therapy in as many days.
I don't have the time or the energy to really refute john opinion. so i just believe differently based on what i have read.
My morning pees are 6.2 and sometimes 6.6 afternoon its normally in the 7s. a naturopath said its important to be well hydrated to be alkaline. having so little animal protien and green juices and alkaline water makes it easy to alkaline.
i don't have any great alkaline references handy, but i have read heaps, and believe its beneficial. if i opened up the metagenics practioneer guide, i could find the theory and the citations, but hat would take another 30 minutes and i got to sleep.
sweet dreams and i hope your pee is alkaline.
hugs,
Pete
ps expert is scary, i think enthusiastic is more my style. its still a nice compliment, never been called that before and been called alot worse also.
pps but john is partly correct, you don't want to have alkaline water, to close to meal time to dilute your stomach acid. my rule is no water 30 before and 90 minutes after meals. i only drink alkaline reverse osmosised water ph9.50 -

You can get most of my info on the "blog" section provided by
this website's system: http://csn.cancer.org/user/75969/view/blog
There is a section full of links, most of which will provide much
insight with what to expect with TCM .
TCM is not an "alternative" (not in Asia, anyway).

do you like the irony yipee or yip pee.
a joyful expression, can anyone else on the internet argue against john logic?
i don't have time go back, i am working on my next big project to do with the sea.

Pete you have a great sense
Pete you have a great sense of humor! Thanks for the early morning laugh. And thank you everyone for your input. That's one of the great things about this board, we can get a variety of input and personal experiences. I did change my diet last year when diagnosed, more plant based less animal. I recently started drinking water with ph 8.4. But then again I've had reverse osmosis water in my house for 10+ years. Who knows. We'll just keep trying, right Pete?
My best,

good point about sodiumthxmiker said:Sodium Bicarbonate is
Sodium Bicarbonate is supposed to add stress to the body with the extra Sodium. The body does not need more stress when fighting cancer.
Best Always, mike
I think the alkalana a is more potassium than sodium.
My water, juice and diet helps me be alkaline.

sodium bicarb
Hi there, My name is Lori and I am new here but I thought I would add my two cents.
I am very into the integrative aproach but I think john is right about this one. I have actually tried to change my ph using sodium bicarb ( plain old cheap baking soda) and have gotten my urine ph up over 8. But John is right. your body will strive to keep ph normal so even if you get it up for a short time your body will normalize you almost immediatly. It has to. Ph is not negotiable when it comes to survival.7.35-7.45. Best bet is an alkalizing diet so your body doesn't have to work so hard to keep your ph normal. On the other hand there is a lot of good research on it. I just don't know how to get your ph up for long enough. A functioning body won't let it happen and if it did then I would imagine you may have a whole slew of other problems. I am all for trying just about anything. I never even told my Dr that I tried the sodium bicarb. I am a nurse and I was afraid he would laugh me right out of the office. Its really an uphill battle for me trying to convince people whom I not only see because I am a patient but I work with them too. Just be careful not to do more harm than good. I hope everything works out well for you.0
