Maggie moving

Hello to my family,

I will be moving Tuesday, Sept 4 to a smaller house. I have been so busy packing and
throwing things out. I am moving close to where i live now.

There are so many of you struggling. It makes me very sad I will not be able to keep
in touch with all of you. Especially, the ones that need my support, prayers, and
positive energy.

I have been keeping up with all the posts. Thank you Beth and Liz for your posts. Maybe
Lisha will post soon. I would feel so much better to know her pain is gone and on the
road to recovery.

To those who are scheduled for a pet scan, I send my positive energy for good results.

I will try and keep this computer plugged in until this Sunday at least.

Love from Maggie

    Smaller is good..
    Hi Maggie,
Don't wear yourself out with the move. Steve and I have been slowly downsizing our material possessions for a few years now in preparation for our eventual move to the river. Every time one of the kids comes over I ask them if they want such and such item. Will you still have your computer at the new place? You take it easy and enjoy setting up your new smaller home.Changes can be exciting! Thanks for letting us know. Love you...Sue

    Thanks Maggie
    Thanks Maggie.

At least you're moving before the cold weather hits :). You live
in New York (near NYC) right? We'll look forward to you
signing back on from your new home soon.

    Hugs,

    Jim

yes this might be good-by for now
    Hello to all,

Yes, I will have a computer in my new place. Jim, I never noticed how far I was from
the big city NYC. When my husband drove to the city, I never paid much attention. Let's just say, I am far enough, thank you. Maybe 35 miles or so. My husband used to call
NYC the jungle. Pardon to anyone who lives in NYC, I never said it. I rather enjoyed
it when I went. I'm just not a city girl.

    LOL Love from maggie

    good for you
    Dear Sue,

Good for you. Yes, I have been downsizing for months now. I gave so much to the
Salvation Army. All my cruise gowns gone for the next person to enjoy. OK, I kept
    maybe 1 or 2.

Sue, just make sure the river you are moving close to doesn't flood during heavy
rain. So much flooding to my neighbors in New Jersey. When I see the pictures of
the floods in New Orleans, my heart breaks. Yes, I will have a computer in my new
home. I probably will put some things away first.

Love you. I know you have started Rituxan again. I hope no bad effects. Love you Maggie

    Moving is a pain
    Hey Maggie,

Hope your move occurs without incident. In my case
when moving, I always lost something, broke something and
(fun part here) found something I forgot about - too bad
    it wasn't a lot of money ;).

I lived in Houston, Texas for about 20 years before I came
back to this neck of the woods to be closer to family. There's
a lot I miss about Houston but not the traffic, heat and craziness
    of big city life.

At this stage of my live, I'd be happy in a log cabin
in/near the mountains near a lake or river. Maybe I should
retire with Sue and learn how to fish again ;).

Hugs and rejoin us as soon as you can.

    Best wishes
    Hi Maggie

Just noticed your post about moving. I want to wish you the very best in your new home.

Moving can be so hard. In the last three years, I have moved my brothers stuff, my mother in law and my own moms stuff.
I plan to stay in my home for the rest of my days. I even told my hubby that if I cannot do the stairs anymore, he will need to have an electric stair chair installed. Just glad that I am no where close to needing it yet. Although I do have days when the stairs are just exausting. But that is only temporary!!

Wishing you only happy healthy days ahead in your new home.

    Hugs

I agree with Sue--small is good---hope it will be for you!!
I'm already in my smaller place---that's been a help during treatments, etc.

    Moving

    Miss Maggie,

Moving is one of the hardest things. We have done so five times in the last 12 years. I am resolved to never move from our current place, if at all possible.

35 miles from "the City?" My brother-in-law lives in Poughkeepsie up the Hudson, and I stayed with him for several days years ago. I took the Metro North into town each day to look around. The Hudson River Valley is some of the most beautiful countryside in America.

May your new digs make you feel even better !
