Suzanne,
This really sounds like something that I could use! I went to one here where the facilitator played the bowls. It was actually relaxing. I didn't feel spirits and all that he hoped I would get out of it, but I did feel a great sense of peace and was very relaxed, that was days after I was diagnosed. It wasn't free and it was only 4 hours. I went with a friend who had just lost her husband and didn't want to go alone. I had no expectations was really just getting out of the house. Walked in really uptight and left feeling very calm and slept through the night for the first time since they gave me the good news.
Really curious as to how it goes!

I was supposed to be going
I was supposed to be going to one this month but plans have changed. I so want to do this. Let us know if you decide to go. The one here was in the wilderness (hiking an fishing) and everything was paid for. Hotel and food. I am sad I can't attend.

Everything paid for ... hotel and food -- sounds like a wonderful get-a-way.
So sorry that you can not make it!

I've been in LV since 8/26 helping my daughter post hysterectomy. Stayed longer than planned because she needed me a while longer and then my son developed kidney stones, and well you know, I was being a mom and grandmom. I'm flying home today around noon and know I have a whole bunch of catch up when I get home. Plus I'm just plain ready to be in my house with husband and dog! I do know a woman who is going and will let you know what she has to say about it.

"Healing Journey" .. hysteretomy for your daughter, and kidney stones for you son --
sounds like you've had your hand full - tending to family, grandchildren as well
as providing emotional support, love and TLC.
Going home to your own house and bed -- sounds GREAT. A treat that you are so
well deserved.
Happy resting, and recovery Suzanne.
