Hey maxAaron
Aaron,
Is Friday your day ?
Max
They bumped me back 5 days to yesterday because my counts were way too low for treatment last Thursday. I went from an ANC of 200 last Thursday to 4600 yesterday and my doc is giving me nuprogen for 3 days after each treatment so we hopefully can have no more delays.0 -

Good deal, Aaron. Hope the normal counts also help you feel better.

Same Day
Hey Aaron,
Looks like we are on the same day now. I had my third treatment yesterday as well. I guess my counts must have been okay because they didn't delay me at all and I'm doing really good!
Sorry to hear they bumped you off a few days. How are you feeling? Still getting bad side effects? Are you quarantined again?0 -
Might want to consider claritinAaron said:Hey max

Hey Aaron,
Sorry you had a slight delay in your treatment but glad they are now giving
you something to boost your counts! One thing that might help with bone pain
after the booster is claritin. I've seen posts where people said this helps.
You take on 24 hour claritin once a day during the booster cycle. You might
want to check with your doctor on this.
Sharlene,
Glad you're doing well!
Hugs and positive thoughts,
Jim

Hey lady, there you are. I was getting concerned about my friend up north. I hope I'm off house arrest otherwise these shots are all for not. Never mind me how are you doing? Have the side effects stayed about the same? Are your counts ok, I don't know what the Canadian standards are. Thanks for checking in Sharlene, Bellingham draws ever closer . Aaron0 -

Hey Jim, I've read the same thing about Claritin so I bought some yesterday. I asked my Onc about it and she just rolled her eyes and smiled as if to say yea it probably works but it's not sanctioned by the AMA. If the pain kicks in I'll give it a try. Thanks Jim0 -

Hey Aaron,
Yeah, things are going well here. I keep touching wood!!! I haven't really had much in the way of side effects, except that my hair has really thinned out. I had lots to start with, so I've still got a reasonable amount, but I image I will have to get it buzzed in the next week or two. Had a bit of an upset stomach yesterday, but I really think that is my fault for not staying on top of the small meals. Apart from that, I can't complain. My treatments are averaging about 2 hours. Just a nice length of time to dig into a good book and have a cup of tea and cookies!
Glad to hear that you are not on quarantine anymore and you'll be able to get out and about and enjoy this nice weather before things start to change. Yes, we are 1/4 of the way through this. Next treatment we'll be 1/3 of the way!!!! We can do this!!!! I hope you don't get too much pain from the shots.
Talk to you soon.0 -

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the hugs and positive thoughts. I'm doing pretty darn good, all things considered! I hope that things continue going as well as they have been.
I hope you are well too.

That's great that the side effects are going easy on you, other than my stupid blood counts mine haven't been so bad either. I hope these shots work I haven't had any bone pain or side effect that I can tell so far, so we shall see. Thanks for checking in and keep it going smooth up there, we'll talk soon. Aaron0 -

Aaron,
I'm glad the WBC med is not causing any pain. It mostly seems to hit arthritis and fractured areas, so if you do not have either, it should go well. With 18 fractures, I was neulasta pain waiting to happen !
