Off to do "Mom things"
So, I'm back to LV on Sunday for at least a week.
I could use a few prayers that this surgery will relieve all of her pain and getting rid of her uterus will take care of everything. She's really been through a lot these past weeks and it just doesn't seem right that this happened. What on earth happened?
I'll be online while away, of course.

I honestly don't know what to think. I an attempt to make her less frightened I told her about my hysterectomy 2 years ago and how easy it was on me. It honestly was. I woke up and when they asked me about pain level, I said "4" which is what it was. I accepted pain meds because I didn't want to know if I had more severe pain, but I left the hospital one day later on no pain meds. I didn't even take Tylenol when I got home. I was uncomfortable, but not in pain. Well, such is not the case with Jyl. She says morphine is not helping the pain. I'm going to use Carol's favorite phrase here and say WTF? I clearly remember my surgeon telling me that some women do still have a lot of pain after laparoscopic hysterectomies, but that was not my experience nor is it with many other women.
I hope they keep her beyond tomorrow if they can't manage the pain.
Stay tuned. I leave Sunday.

Suzanne, I'm so sorry your daughter is having these problems. I think my hysterectomy fell somewhere between hers and yours....I definitely recall having pain, but not debilitating for more than a short while. Mine was not laporoscopic, however. Know that I keep you and all the Sisters in my prayers. I don't post, but I do visit and check on everyone.
Best wishes for a safe trip,
