Since I'm triple neg Perjeta
Since I'm triple neg Perjeta is not an option for me. I do know that it did very well in clinical trials and the IBC community is excited about it. So I hope you get approved quickly, that you are able to tolerate it well, and most important, that it works for you!!
Hugs,

Perjeta
Good morning to all of you!!
I am due to start Perjeta this week, triple positive Stage IV. I am SO excited (of course, I may not feel it once the se's kick in). I spent ALOT of time online researching the drug, and am very happy with what I see!! At this point, I am looking to treat my cancer as chronic, and keep it from spreading anywhere else. I feel that the Perjeta is my best hope. Initially, I was only due to start Tamoxiflen, but after my onc visited with his cronies and they discussed my case, they decided to start chemo. I was thrilled! Especially since I endured a rather difficult time with the port insertion and it was upsetting me to no end that it was there and was not going to be used at all since I was dx'ed Stage IV.
I don't remember the name of the other woman starting it, but perhaps we can keep in touch and see how the other is faring with this medicine? I think we are "lucky" to be receiving it. Read it was a "Godsend" to Stage IV bc patients!
Warm wishes to all!

How have you been doing on perjeta? I am due to start it this week. Diag. with stage IV a few weeks ago. My oncologist is giving me Zometa for the mone mets, herceptin and Zoledronic and Carboplatin. Don't know how this mix will work for me. I am a mess and have so much support but don't want to accept it from anyone. Shutting everyone out. I feel I am dealing with this diagnosis as best I can, without depression meds, but don't know how long this will last. Still hopeless in NY. I am 42 years old.
Thanks for listening
