CA 125 down

After a month on Tamoxifen my CA 125 has gone down from 115 to 67. I am so happy. I didn't expect good news so fast. My onc said it would take a while. I had an email from Kaiser and when I tried to check it last night I couldn't get to the site. I thought it was a reminder of my appointment on Thursday. I just checked and saw it was a lab result. I normally get the CA 125 results in the mail ten days after the blood draw; I can call the office but that makes me nervous. When I saw it was an email from my onc subject: lab test, I gulped. I really expected it to be higher than last time. I guess she knew I would want this good news fast.

This is a great way to start the weekend. I have company coming and need to do some things and bake a cake. Wow, I haven't had good news in a while. I am kind of stunned. I guess I was really steeling myself for more bad news.

Thank you for always being here in bad times and good.

Karen

    I have experienced
hot flashes, fatigue, lightheadedness, anxiety, rapid heartbeat and some difficulty staying asleep at night. Some mornings I feel groggy when I wake up. The most common so far is the fatigue and hot flashes.

If that's as bad as it gets, it really isn't bad at all.

    I agree, awesome news!
What makes it even better is that it's such a big drop as you are getting closer to those magic NED numbers. ((((HUGS)))) Maria
