Hurts to swallow food, feels like something there.

magic mouthwash
Did radiologist give you a script for Magic Mouthwash? If not, I'd ask for one and keep it on hand. What food works one week may not work the next week. Might want to give eggs or pancakes a try. Milk seems to work for allot of people, try that if you still feel like something is stuck.0 -
Good Idea....
You are probably getting to that point that you might want to consider a lot more liquid calories like Ensure Plus, and soft slippery foods, like sliced peaches, mac and cheese, etc....
Hang in there, it'll get better, but more than likely it's going to get rough for awhile.
Best,

Ouch.....
Meat is the first thing to go once rads starts....amazing isn't it, that ground up meat can feel like ground up glass going down. At your stage I was doing baked potatoes, lots of butter and sour cream...mac and cheese, with milk added..mac salad...scrabbled eggs...and keep in mind....Milk will become your nectar .

My dad just had his 13th rad on Friday and he also started to feel hurt in his mouth and throat after the 9th or 10th rad. Now is just getting worse and he wonders how is he going to live with this strong pain for all those weeks from now on. More liquid foods, pain killers,....
Let us just hang in there! Those weeks will past quiet fast and it is worth to take it because at the end of this tunnel is light.. I hope .0 -

When the words "no evidence of disease" come, suddenly all of the horrible side effects don't seem to have been as bad. I have to say, during the toughest times, I relied heavily on pain meds and slept day and night forcing myself to get up and get nutrition in. There was a period when I said enough is enough but God carried me to those treatments and I'm thankful today. Please print the poem "Footprints in the Sand" for your parents. It is an inspiration.0 -
