YEAH JOHN!!!!!
Congrats on the 4th NED scan...gives all us newbies hope and faith. You're almost to the imaginary finish line, aren't you...the 5 year NED! Still, the way I see it, the further out you get, the more nerve wracking it might become...is it?
I think I'll dance you around YOUR kitchen....and dream of eating some stuffed flounder while I'm there .

Great News
Great News; My first PET is still in my future (about 6 weeks in the future).0 -
Thanks Everyone...
It means a lot to know you all are thinking of me and keeping Shelley and I in your prayers.
P, even though it's my 4th PET, I'm only a little over 3 years post Tx.
The scans tend to be less scary than the first few...but usually it seems that you always have a litlle summin summin bugging you just before...I guess to keep you in check.
Best,
John0 -
I've been hearing rumors.......Skiffin16 said:Thanks Everyone...

I've been hearing rumors coming outta the Sunshine State lately. The women are ecstatic and the fish are scared!
You da Man! Congrats!!

Congrats to Our Elder Statesman
John, this is such wonderful news. Great for you personally,of course, but equally good for this collective as a whole. You've been a beacon of light and a source of calm for so many who have come to this board--that certainly has been the case for me. And the example you give of how to live life, well, that could teach people outside the confines of this group. You've made your mark here.
Keep chummin', Skipper.

You know it....LOL.
Before all of this if I had something going on I usually would just wait it out and it would go away....typical man thing I'm sure.
My wife will make an appointment and go to the MD over nearly everything that comes up.
But then late in 2008 I had a mild irritation in my throat....it never went away, didn't get worse, just wouldn't go away.
Now if something head, throat, chest, etc....hangs around for more than a week or a few days....well you all know. You get nervous, a little scared, and think the worse.
Which does get a bit irritating as my ENT always tells me, the effects of rads will last for several years.
But he also always encourages me to stay pro-active, not re-active.
Best,

PATRICK
on your good news. I will Ditto what so many have said, Skiffin you have been so helpful to so many, and I think I can speak for others that when we post we often look forward to your words of wisdom, or musical lyrics, or fish pictures or something that just works for the moment. You have the wisdom to hold our hands when necessary and the strength to tell us to get up and press on if thats what we need to hear. So may many fish jump in your boat and as P51 says will look forward to 5 year NED. But for today enjoy.....0 -

OK, as of this afternoon....now it's official.
I saw my MD, all is good....
Even my TSH levels have come back within normal ranges. That's two in a row for TSH....was trending at nearly 7.0, back to just under 5.0 the last two CBC labs...
Thanks all,
~John0 -
