Cycle 2, Day 1 Clinical trial TRC 105
Side effects have been minimal..headaches 2-3 days after infusion but Imitrex takes care of that. There has been an Erbitux-like rash that has popped up and doc says that they have been noticing this with other patients on the trial as well.
Infusion time has dropped dramatically. On days when both the study drug and Avastin are given, 6-7 hrs. Today with both drugs,3hrs. I was asking the nurse if she was sure Robert got everything he was supposed to. Yes, he did. Are you SURE??? Nurse said we were scaring her and making her double check everything.
All and all, good day!

Angela, that sounds excellent. Robert is a trooper. 6-hour infusions are so long. Glad it's at least down to 3.
The lower CEA - thank goodness. Gotta feel good to hear that. And, that the labs are holding steady......we'll take that.
Are u staying in touch with that woman who started the trial before Robert? Have you met any others?
A big hug to you, and I'll let you do the honors for giving Robert a BIG HUG.0 -

So glad to hear that his CEA is going down!!!
You might scare the nurse, but you know that things are being done right when their double checked!! Good job!!

Wow, sounds like this drug is already doing it's job. Sounds like good news. Does this drug cause Robert any fatigue, or nausea?? Keep us posted.0
